Meet the Founder
Kimberly Smith, Master of Health Service Administration (MHSA), is the Founder and Principal Advisor of Align + Thrive Strategies. Smith is an executive public health communications professional with more than two decades of federal and nonprofit experience guiding highly visible national initiatives. Smith has extensive experience in content strategy, brand voice, and multi‑channel education initiatives across an array of public health sectors. With expertise in translating complex research into compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, she has a proven ability to lead integrated communications, manage high‑stakes projects, and deliver audience‑centered digital campaigns that drive measurable engagement.
As a former Director of Consumer Education at the FDA’s Human Foods Program, she:
Led multidisciplinary communications teams
Oversaw complex contracts as a Contracting Officer Representative, Level II
Managed performance metrics and deliverables
Directed national consumer education campaigns
Advised leadership during organizational transition
She understands how strategy, compliance, communication, and performance intersect across all sectors of the health system.
